Now that Jake and I are engaged, I really need to work on our family wall! Currently it only features Voldy and some older pictures of Jake and I. We now have another puppy child and are spending the rest of our lives together, so the photo wall needs work. Let me show you what I started to work on!
For the first photo, I used some peel and stick photos I received from Photage. You can download the app here and use the code “WALLART” to get a free print. I went ahead and picked a piece of scrapbook paper that I thought would go great with Voldy’s beautiful Harry Potter photos. I then peeled the photo which was super easy to do. Then, I placed it towards the middle of the scrapbook paper. I knew that the photo frame was a little smaller than the scrapbook page, so I trimmed the excess and framed it!
Savvy’s DIY photo wall frame was a little more difficult to create. The photos I ordered were square, so her picture wouldn’t fit perfectly in the oval frame. To balance out that negative space, I chose a dark piece of scrapbook paper. I aligned up the oval template that came with the frame and the scrapbook paper and cut the paper to fit. I then placed the photo on the scrapbook paper. Again, it was peel and stick, so it was easy to do! I popped her in the frame and her part of our DIY photo wall was complete!
Now we are on to mine and Jake’s addition to the wall. I ordered these before we got engaged (because I didn’t think he would ever actually propose!!!), so this is a photo of us at the pool. Isn’t he so cute?! Anyways, back to reality. This photo piece was the EASIEST to make. I took a canvas I got from Michael’s, peeled up the sticker, and placed it where I wanted the photo to stick. BAM! It was complete.
And here is our DIY photo wall! We are wanting to fill some of the blank spaces with engagement photos and some more pictures of Sevvy! We don’t want her feeling left out 🙂
What do you guys think we should add to the wall? Let me know in the comments below!
