Guys. Voldy is three years old. My whole heart is happy she is growing up but it hurts that is is growing so fast. For those of you dog mommas, or even kiddo mammas, you know where I am coming from. To celebrate our little girl, we threw Voldy a dog birthday party!!!
To throw your dog a birthday party, there are a few essentials you need.
Food – we did potato salad, hot dogs, brats, chips, and cookies!
Invitations – we did ours for free through Facebook
Dog Cake – ours was made by Amanda Murphy. Contact her if you are in Central IL.
Party treats – Voldy gave her friends a doggy bag of treats to take home
We had Voldy’s dog birthday party on our back porch. We took a fold out table and covered it with a cheap table cloth. Then, we set out our food and silverware! We bought all of the silverware, napkins, plates, and tablecloth from the Dollar Tree. We spent $5 total on all of that.
We plated Voldy’s birthday cake on a crystal cake holder my Nana got for me for Christmas a couple of years back. Her cake looked so beautiful on it. We also popped the birthday cookies in a bowl and placed them on the table.
We put Voldy’s face cookies near the end of the table so people would take them as a dessert. We also made a sign for her doggy friends to have a treat later.
For our human treats, we had Amanda make some delicious cookies with my sweet girls face on them. Aren’t these beautiful?! They tasted (almost) too good to eat.
For the birthday cake, we gave each pup a slice. Voldy, Sevvy, and Vader loved the cake. They ate it up so quickly.
We had so much fun throwing Voldy a birthday party. Are you throwing your four legged friend a party? Comment below and let me know. But, before you go, pin it for later:
